In a world full of ember spirits, you signed up to help one of the daughters of the royal ember family by accident.
You have a choice to either help her or sabotage her.
The new ember queen hasn't been revealed yet because in the ember society, if there are two offspring, then they must face each other to decide who gets the throne.
Your choice whether to help Amber, the spirit that will lead the world into the right direction, or to help Sapphire, the spirit that has been power hungry and cruel since birth will impact the world greatly.
